VICI diagram valves provide high-reliability, low-maintenance continuous operation for >1,000,000 cycle lifetime*—ideal for the process industry, automated lab analyzers, or continuous-monitoring environmental analyses. These valves have proven especially successful in process gas chromatography for both sample injection and column switching.
They are designed with plungers and ports arranged in a circular pattern, with the plungers controlled by the reciprocation action of two actuated pistons. Their rugged design allows easy replacement of tubing or of the valve itself.
Diaphragm valve products offer minimal internal swept volume. Configuration options include:
- Internal Sample Injectors - 4 Port
- Sampling/Switching Valves - 6 Port and Multifunctional 10 Port
Only 1.375” (33 mm) in diameter, 1.625” (42 mm) high, and weighing <9 oz (255 g), these miniature valves have built-in actuators with extremely short actuation time (10 milliseconds). The valve cap can have 1/16” or 1/32” zero dead volume (ZDV) fittings. The standard bore size is 0.016” (0.40 mm) with additional options of a 0.010” (0.25 mm) or 0.030” (0.75 mm) bore.
Actuator air (50-60 psi) is supplied to a side port with 10-32 female threads, compatible with a variety of compression or barbed fittings. A three-way solenoid (sold separately) is required for actuation.
The cap is Nitronic 60 stainless steel (or can be Hastelloy C or Type 316 stainless), and the remaining metal parts are 300 series stainless steel; an alternate version has an aluminum body. The diaphragm is formed from a specialized polyimide.
