Rotors
The design of VICI valves allows easy replacement of key parts such as rotors and stators. Replacement rotors are available for all of our rotary valves, injectors, internal sample injectors, sampling/switching valves, and stream selectors.
Rotors are replaceable in either of our primary valve designs:

Preload Assembly design (also known as Valco) - In this valve design, the rotor is held in place by a preloaded assembly, allowing rotor replacement without removing loops and tubing and without disengaging the valve from the actuator or mounting bracket. For GC, HPLC, and low-pressure applications.

Flat Plate Rotor design (also known as Cheminert®) - This valve design involves a flat rotor that is engraved with slots to connect the ports and a stator, which is held against the rotor at a constant, preset force. When repairs are required, only two or three screws need to be removed. Then simply replace the rotor, put the screws back in, and tighten them—no adjustments are needed. For UHPLC, HPLC, NanovolumeⓇ, Low-pressure, and OEM applications.
All VICI Valco and Cheminert rotors are fabricated from one of our proprietary polymer composites, which are formulated to meet a variety of application needs; see Properties of Rotor Materials for details.
