Sample Loops
Because injection loops are a critical component for HPLC systems, VICI’s sample loops are made from high-quality materials to exact specifications. Loops are electrolytically cut and electrochemically polished to ensure square, burr-free ends, then cleaned with microfiltered steam from deionized water.
Our most common loop material is Type 316 stainless steel; loops can also be supplied in electroformed nickel, Hastelloy C, Nickel 200, titanium, or polymers such as PEEK. FTE, or PTFE. The material of the connected valve will determine the most appropriate selection of loop material. Contact technical support.
NOTE: Sample loops are accurately sized for each valve type. However, with small volume loops, the tolerance on the ID of the tubing (±0.001") can have a significant effect on the volume; thus, loop volume and appearance may differ from batch to batch. Loop volume is controlled as closely as possible, but it is not calibrated.
