This VICI microvolume internal valve injects a 1.0 μl sample. The sample “loop” is an engraved connecting slot on the valve cap that is sized to contain a specific sample amount. For use with 1/32” zero dead volume fittings, it has an internal bore size of 0.010” (0.25 mm) and can be used with air actuators for gas chromatography applications up to 300 psi gas at 175°C.
It is useful for gas chromatography applications where the sample is above ambient pressure, but can also be used at subambient pressures, such as when the sample is pulled through the valve by a vacuum.
Actuator air (40-50 psi) is supplied to a side port with 10-32 female threads, allowing use of a variety of compression or barbed fittings. A 3-way solenoid is required for actuator use (sold separately)
The valve has a polyimide diaphragm and comes with stainless steel nuts and ferrules.
