The very low internal volume and precision design of this micrometering (needle) valve makes it ideal for use as a gas control valve in chromatographic systems. It is a single-outlet model with 1/16" x 18" tubes.
This unlubricated version has a highly polished seat that was designed to be used with our pulsed discharge detectors; it should be used upstream of any ultrapure gas system.
The valve body is Type 303 stainless steel with a Viton® seal that operates at up to 225°C. It offers low flow control of 2-90 ml/min at 40 psi through an (N2) inlet.
Valves are rated for a maximum of 1000 psig. They are individually tested on a mass spectrometer leak detector to a helium leak rate specification of < 1 x 10-8 atm cc/sec.
NOTE: These valves are not designed for complete flow shut off. If positive shut off is required, we recommend a Valco combo valve, designed with a separate knob to shut off the flow without affecting the flow rate setting.
