This on/off valve is designed for use in high-temperature, medium-pressure HPLC applications for 1/16” OD tubing and 0.75 mm bore. It is air actuated with a 4” standoff, and provides leak-tight operation at pressures up to 6,000 psi liq at a temperature of 300°C.
Their quality engineering, precision machining, and extremely low internal volume (< 2 µl), makes VICI valves the ideal choice in the most demanding liquid or supercritical fluid chromatography or extraction systems.
The valve needle is made from a special high-strength alloy that is resistant even to the buffer salts, which can accidentally precipitate inside the valve. Seals are fluorocarbon, with valve bodies machined from HPLC-grade stainless steel, ensuring a long lifetime in even the most demanding situations.
This valve is intended for use primarily with liquids; if you are interested in a gas application, please contact technical support
TECH TIP
The air-actuated versions require a single three-way solenoid; application of 50 psi opens the valve; venting the air allows the spring to return the valve to the closed position.
