This microvolume (1 μl) manual 6-port injector is a replacement valve assembly for Thermo Scientific SOLA analyzers. It is made for medium temperature samples and used for 1/16” fittings and 0.75 mm ports. It can be used to alternate between two different samples. Each time the valve is switched, a sample is injected (see diagram below).
When the two sample inlets are connected in series, the valve injects the sample each time the valve switches. This is particularly useful in heavy-duty cycle operations to minimize valve wear. When the sample/waste and pump/column connections are swapped, the valve can be used to inject the same sample onto two different columns, in alternation.
This injector includes a 4” standoff (an extension between the valve and actuator which allows the valve to be mounted in the heated zone while the actuator or handle remains outside at ambient temperature). Specified for a maximum pressure of 1000 psi and a maximum temperature of 175° C.
VICI sample injectors are made of Nitronic 60 with a rotor made of Valcon E, a polyaryletherketone/PTFE composite.
