The sample “loop” is an engraved connecting slot on the valve cap that is sized to contain a specific sample amount. For use with 1/16” zero dead volume fittings, it has an internal bore size of 0.016” (0.4 mm) and can be used with air actuators for applications up to 750 psi liq at 50°C.

It is useful for applications where the sample is above ambient pressure, but can also be used at subambient pressures, such as when the sample is pulled through the valve by a vacuum.

Actuator air (40-50 psi) is supplied to a side port with 10-32 female threads, allowing use of a variety of compression or barbed fittings.
